Happy Girl Friday everyone!
Here's another picture of Toko Tuin Ukmal Ichi. I just love drawing her.
The second half of a Dayah name is their "deed name," given during their rite of adulthood. When a child comes of age, they are ceremonially driven from the village, never to return as the child-that-was. Their actions during this time (or what they bring back when they return) earns them their deed name of adulthood.
In her case, "Ukmal Ichi" means "One Who Makes Friends" or, more literally "One Who Shares Life." She earned this by following creatures through the forest, habituating them to her presence and copying their ways to survive. She was able to share the food of monkeys, birds and (most remarkably) the species of troodonts the Dayah call "ukshatXi" or "fast walkers." This earned her a reputation for patience, resourcefulness and no small amount of bravery.
Chief among her friends is Niru ("Watchful"), the cock in the foreground, with his bright breeding plumage. The larger and more camouflaged hens follow his lead, and incidentally let him take more of the risks. The more successful an ukshatXi cock is at finding food for his harem (while chasing off rivals and not becoming food himself), the longer he keeps the right to breed. If the cock is not attentive to his duties (getting distracted by a good head-scratching, for example), the hens may take to squabbling, and drive one another off; so it is in his best interests to get back to the duties of the hunt once he has enlisted the help of Ukmal Ichi.

I really like how the troodontids are colored with the females being green but larger than the brightly colored male blending with the scenery and interacting with Ukmal Ichi.
